Gatherings

We haven’t started meeting in person yet. However, our gatherings will be Sunday nights with a meal to start, music, and a live life-lesson based on scripture. Each gathering welcomes every member of the family to come.

Sunday night is perfect for those coming home from camp or a road trip to the city. We can’t wait to have you join us. Come back to this page to get updates!

What to Know More

Frequently Asked Questions

We might be more dreams than plans and answers right now, but part of that is because we want YOU to hear from God too and dream together.

  • What is the Schreiber Campus?

The Schreiber Campus is a proposed new location of North Shore Church that will serve the community of Schreiber and the surrounding North Shore communities.

This is a new expression of the same mission—helping people encounter Jesus, find belonging, and grow in faith.

  • Why Schreiber?

We believe God is calling us to expand our reach and serve the community of Schreiber and surrounding areas with the hope of Jesus. This is about creating a place where people can belong, grow, and encounter God.

Schreiber is a beautiful community with many people who currently do not have a regular church connection. Launching a campus here allows North Shore Church to:

    • Reach more people with the hope of Jesus
    • Serve another North Shore community
    • Build relationships and support families
    • Strengthen ministry across the entire region

Our desire is to ensure that every community along the North Shore has access to a healthy local church.

  • Why Now?

We believe this is a God-timed opportunity to reach more people, build community, and prepare for the future God is calling us into.

  • What Stage are Ae In?

We are currently in the PRAY & PREPARE phase—seeking God, building a team, Raising Money, and exploring next steps. We are asking God to lead every part of this vision and to prepare hearts in Schreiber for what He wants to do.

  • Where will the Schreiber Campus meet?

A location has not yet been confirmed. We are actively praying and exploring options within the community.

  • When will the campus launch?

At this stage, the Schreiber Campus is in the vision and prayer phase.

Before launching, we are praying and preparing in several key areas:

    • Leadership development
    • Financial resources
    • Facilities and equipment
    • Volunteer teams

A launch timeline will be announced once key pieces are in place, including location, leadership, and team development. To begin, we will be present at local events and host special gatherings. Our plan is to start regular weekly gatherings in Fall 2026.

  • What will a typical gathering look like?

A welcoming, family-friendly environment will meet weekly on Sunday nights with:

    • A Meal and time to Connect
    • Worship and music
    • Teaching time and discipleship
    • Opportunities for prayer and pastoral care
    • Ministry for families, youth, and children as the campus grows.
  • Will this be a separate church?

No—There is one North Shore Church in multiple locations; Terrace Bay, Schreiber, and Online. The Schreiber Campus will function as part of North Shore Church, sharing the same mission, teaching, values, and leadership vision.

  • Will the sermon be live or video?

Most weeks, the Schreiber Campus will include live music and live speaking. Delivered by one of our pastors, guest speakers, or intentional church member. Videos are used on occasion for music and teaching at both sites,, but we value presence and strong pastoral leadership.

  • Who will lead the Schreiber Campus?

Pastor Elizabeth Will be the leader of our Schreiber Campus. We plan to develop a local leadership team supported by the leadership of the Terrace Bay site.

We are praying for God to raise up leaders from within the church who have a heart for the North Shore and the community of Schreiber.

  • How is this being funded?

The Schreiber Campus is being funded through generosity, designated giving, and careful stewardship of resources. We will receive some initial funding from our Western Ontario District “New Churches Network” Department.

We are also seeking partner churches from across the province. Finally, we are seeking individual donors to help fund this mission too.

  • How can I be involved?

There are several ways to be part of this vision:

    Pray

Pray for salvation, leadership, and provision.

    Serve

Be open to helping build the team that will support the campus.

    Give

Financial support will help provide the resources needed to launch.

    Share

Help spread the word about what God is doing on the North Shore. Tell Your neighbours!

Do I have to currently attend North Shore now to be involved?

No! Or not yet. Anyone is welcome to be part of the Schreiber Campus from the beginning.

with the exception of any involvement with our kids, youth, or vulnerable sector individuals, everyone is welcome to serve.
