The Wait is Over

It is time to get going. Walt Disney once said,

“The best way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing”

That is exactly what we are doing. We did a few practice runs in September and October but now we continue building on those experiences and building on what we have learned to make this dream a reality.

Sunday November 8, 2026 at 6:00 pm is our official launch date at the Schreiber Rec Hall, 100 Langworthy Street (right next to the Arena). Pastor Elizabeth will be there with a great message, our team will make some good food, and the best part is, you will have the opportunity to experience the incredible life-changing presence of God.

Additionally, we are excited to welcome Pastor Wendy Payne from the “New Church Network” (NCN). Pastor Wendy has started a new church herself and she knows what it takes to plant a new congregation. She serves much of Ontario as the Director of NCN, helping others just like us put their best foot forward in God-given dreams.

If you are searching for a place to belong, if you are looking for positive change in your life, If you need a safe place for your kids, Come on out to North Shore Church Schreiber with your family.

If you are looking for a place to serve, we have room for you! We believe in everyone operating in their gifts and abilities.

What is a Soft Launch?

What is a Soft Launch? I am so glad you asked. A Soft launch is what Walt Disney World did in 1971. Walt Disney World originally opened with a strategic soft opening on October 1, 1971, ahead of its official grand opening dedication on October 25th, 1971, to test operations and manage initial crowds. For us, it is an opportunity for our church leaders and volunteers to get a feel for what it will take to set up, pray, and get ready for our regular Sunday evening gatherings in Schreiber. We certainly will be inviting guests but on the down low to get our feet wet. We will do everything that we plan to do when we officially launch later this year. Sunday September 27, 2026 at 6:00 pm is our first planned soft launch date. We will work on loading up the vehicles with food and equipment, drive to Schreiber, Unload and setup, and make room for what God wants to do in our neighbouring community. This will help us get a feel for what we are going to be doing regularly and to learn what works and what doesn’t work. Your help and feedback will be crucial to make this successful. Would you prayerfully considering coming along on this adventure? If you are unable to come, would you pause and pray at our meeting time? We know God wants to reach people far from Him, we know God is calling us to be His hands and feet. Much like Isaiah the prophet we say: Here I am Lord, Send Me! More specifics and tactics to come! But for now as always, I am Ready to Serve, Pastor Gary
