What is a Soft Launch?
Building Projects and Repairs
The front corner of our building is in need of repair. The spring snow melt and heavy rain revealed a leak. We will be digging up the corner in the coming weeks. We anticipate the repair to cost $1,600. This would get us about 24 feet of wall repaired (more than needed as far as we can tell). However, since we have equipment on site, It would be the best time to do more of the foundation work. There could also be some surprises once we dig down.
Finally, a benefit of this project that adds a bit of cost, is our ability to add some rigid foam to provide better insulation. While this is just a start and the initial impact will be minimal, as we do this project over stages, it will greatly increase our building’s efficiency, however, the basement will always feel cold 🥶.
Here are the ways you can help with this project.
- Give towards this project - Any amount helps, another $1000 gives us another 24 feet.
- Serve - Materials are ordered, We plan a work crew in the next two weeks. Please let Pastor Gary know if you can help, During the day, after work, or the weekend.
- Pray - As Pastor Elizabeth says, “You can always Pray”. Pray for a successful repair, no further damage and safety for our guys working.

Doing Your Best When Life Is The Worst
What do you do when you give someone your best, but they give you their worst?
Drawing from David’s difficult relationship with King Saul, Pastor Gary explores how to deal with hurt, betrayal, jealousy, and opposition without allowing someone else’s behaviour to change your character. David refused to become spiteful or bitter, but he also understood the importance of wisdom and healthy boundaries.
“Doing Your Best When Life Is the Worst” is a practical and encouraging message about remaining kind without being naïve, forgiving without surrendering healthy boundaries, and faithful even when doing good comes at a cost. You may not be able to control how others treat you, but you can choose who you will become.
Keep loving. Keep serving. Keep building. Even when life gives you its worst, keep giving God your best.
