Sunday at 10:30 am - In addition to our Morning Gathering together, we have our First ever men’s retreat wrapping up with Guest Speaker Jeremy Murdoch, WOD Regional Director for the North.
As always, there is something for the whole Family! Kids Church, Worship, and a Life-Giving Message.

Starting Friday at 7:00pm at North Shore Church (12 Terrace Court). If you have not registered, there is some room to attend, but numbers for Saturday dinner are limited. Reach out to Pastor Gary soon to secure your last-minute spot for $60.00.

Spirituality Redefined

What does it really mean to be Spirit-filled? Is it about spiritual gifts, powerful experiences, or something deeper?

In Week 6 of our REDEFINED series, we explore Paul's teaching in 1 Corinthians 12–14 and 2 Corinthians 3:17–18, discovering how the Holy Spirit works both through us and within us.

The Holy Spirit gives gifts to strengthen the Church, empowers us to serve others, and transforms us to become more like Jesus. But at the centre of it all is love.

Paul reminds us to “Follow the way of love and eagerly desire gifts of the Spirit” (1 Corinthians 14:1).

These belong together. God calls us to welcome the power and gifts of the Holy Spirit while allowing Him to shape our character, relationships, and everyday lives.

Being Spirit-filled is about more than what God does through us. It's also about who we are becoming through His presence.

Through Jesus, our past no longer has the final word. We are a new creation, and the Holy Spirit continues the work of transforming us into His likeness.

I wanted to share a few important updates, a wonderful praise report, and some exciting things happening in the life of our church. 🙏 A Praise Report & Continued Prayer Recently, we were asked to pray for someone in our community facing a significant medical emergency. We're thankful to share that there has been significant improvement! We praise God for this encouraging news and for the progress that has been made. Please continue praying for complete healing and restoration in the days ahead. ❤️ An Opportunity to Help Someone in Our Community Someone who has recently moved into our community could use a little help getting settled. We're looking for donations of gently used household items, including furniture, dishes, plates, cups, mugs, utensils, and other household essentials. If you have something you'd like to donate, please bring it to church this Sunday. We'll arrange for the items to be picked up Sunday afternoon, Monday, or sometime during the following week. Thank you for continuing to be a church that loves and serves our neighbours! 📋 Healthy Church Survey — Your Voice Matters! North Shore Church has been invited to help beta test a new Church Health Survey being developed through our district (WOD) office. While this will help the district develop a valuable resource, more importantly, it will help us understand how we can continue growing together as a healthy church. We would love everyone to participate! We'll be setting aside time during our Sunday services to complete the survey, including this coming Sunday, November 1. Please bring a smartphone, tablet, or laptop if possible. We'll have a few devices available for those who need one. As of writing and publishing, we are scheduled to get this done on Saturday September19. You can still give to this project. Indicate “Building Fund” on your MEMO of e-trasnfer or envelope. You can use the giving link to give through our website. We anticipate the repair to cost $1,600. This would get us about 24 feet of wall repaired (more than needed as far as we can tell). However, since we have equipment on site, It would be the best time to do more of the foundation work. There could also be some surprises once we dig down. Give towards this project - Any amount helps, another $1000 gives us another 24 feet. Serve - Materials are ordered, We plan a work crew in the next two weeks. Please let Pastor Gary know if you can help, During the day, after work, or the weekend. Pray - As Pastor Elizabeth says, “You can always Pray”. Pray for a successful repair, no further damage and safety for our guys working. Here’s What’s happening at North Shore Church Sunday, September 13 Church Gathering Tomorrow at 10:30 am Sunday Morning Gathering together with the whole Family! Building Projects and Repairs The front corner of our building is in need of repair. The spring snow melt and heavy rain revealed a leak. We will be digging up the corner in the coming weeks. We anticipate the repair to cost $1,600. This would get us about 24 feet of wall repaired (more than needed as far as we can tell). However, since we have equipment on site, It would be the best time to do more of the foundation work. There could also be some surprises once we dig down. Finally, a benefit of this project that adds a bit of cost, is our ability to add some rigid foam to provide better insulation. While this is just a start and the initial impact will be minimal, as we do this project over stages, it will greatly increase our building’s efficiency, however, the basement will always feel cold 🥶. Here are the ways you can help with this project. Give towards this project - Any amount helps, another $1000 gives us another 24 feet. Serve - Materials are ordered, We plan a work crew in the next two weeks. Please let Pastor Gary know if you can help, During the day, after work, or the weekend. Pray - As Pastor Elizabeth says, “You can always Pray”. Pray for a successful repair, no further damage and safety for our guys working. From kids to adults, small groups to special events, here's how you can get connected over the next seven days. Sunday, August 9th 10:30am Worship Gatherings - Join us for Sunday gathering in person or online. 0-3 Years - Self-Serve Nursery available in the greenroom downstairs at anytime with parent present. Kid’s Church - Age-Specific programming for our kids 12 and under. Kids Camp Decorating - Right after the morning gathering! Tuesday, August 11th Day Camp Decorating Session II - 5:00-8:00 pm Wednesday, August 12th Youth Swimming at Terrace Bay Pool - Meet During Open Swim at 6:00pm Volunteer Training for Day Camp and those working with Children and Vulnerable Adults. 6:30pm-8:30pm. Thursday, August 13th Women’s Summer Hangout at Mary’s House - 7:00pm Lakeview Drive.
